Daytrip to the UNESCO world heritage site
Ngorongoro Crater is a UNESCO world heritage site. It has a unique ecosystem that has a well sustained wildlife population, as the animals do not migrate in and out of the Ngorongoro crater.

The drive from Arusha takes between 3 to 4 hours and even the drive into the crater is an experience to remember as you go down through the high and steep lanes until you reach the carter view point. Here you will stop for the pictures before you drive further to crater descending road. After descending into the crater you will drive through different vegetations including forest, lake and hills. The animals you can expect to see inside the crater include Rhino, elephant, lion, leopard, zebra, wildebeest, Jackal, baboon just to mention few. We aim to get you into the gates by 9-10 am, meaning you will get an excellent full day of game viewing. Lunch will be at the hippo pool viewpoint at 1:00 pm. Here you will be able to relax over the view of the lake and the wildlife. We aim to leave the park at about 5:00 pm to return home.
INCLUDES Park fees, transport in open roofed 4×4, professional English speaking driver guide, guide allowances, excursions as per itinerary, full day game drive – 2 Lt of water per person per day during safari.
EXCLUDES Accommodation costs, beverages ( not water), alcoholic drinks, items of person, tips.
PARK ENTRANCE By TANAPA rules we need to pay for access to the parks before we enter. We do ask for payment at least 72h before travel. If payment is received for the trip less than 72h before the trip is planned, we will request that you pay for the gate entrance directly at the park with your own visa card. This is due to legislation where only prepayment for entry to all Tanzanian national parks. It takes us about 48h to arrange pre-payment at the local park offices. There are extra charges associated with driving into the crater which are included in your total package
The best time to visit the crater is during the migration in April to May. There are fewer visitors and the crater is green and wonderfully lush.
