Fancy a day trip to see the large herds of Elephants ?
Tarangire is a quiet park in Northern Tanzania. Located off the main safari route, Tarangire is the sixth-largest national park in Tanzania’s Manyara Region. It is better known for its large elephant herds and various bird species. It also has a healthy population of Lions and the other usual suspects of the Tanzanian Savana. Tarangire is a very underrated park and is uncrowded and untamed. Which provides a serene environment for game viewing, birding and radiates authentic safari atmosphere.

This is due to legislation where only prepayment for entry to all Tanzanian national parks. It takes us about 48h to arrange pre-payment at the local park offices.
Best times to visit the park is in July to September, through the dry season. The large herds congregate near the river and game viewing is good.
